The center began with basic services but carried the sky-high ambition and futuristic vision of Dr. Shailendra Singh, who believed in staying ahead of his time.
“NIDAN” was inaugurated on October 11, 1987, as a polyclinic and X-Ray center spread over an area of 1,500 sq. feet. X-Ray reports were prepared on a typewriter, and patient registration was done manually.
An A-Scan machine for lens measurement of cataract surgery patients was installed at the center. The first machine introduced in the central suburbs was inaugurated by Joint Police Commissioner Shri M.N. Singh-ji.
It is the first machine introduced in the central suburbs, inaugurated by the eminent cardiologist Dr. Ashwin Mehta.
It was introduced to Ghatkopar and the central suburbs by the partnership company of Nidan under the name “Nivaran.” The inauguration was conducted by Late Shri Gopinath Munde-ji, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra at the time.
It was again the first machine in the central suburbs, becoming a trademark of Nidan Ventures and establishing it as a pioneer in introducing diagnostic technologies in the region. It was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Mumbai, Smt. Snehalata Deshmukh.
The DXA machine was the first of its kind in the central suburbs and only the third in Mumbai. It was a memorable day for Nidan Ventures, as the center expanded to a spacious, swanky, and hi-tech facility spread across 4,000 sq. feet. The center became fully computerized with the installation of 12 computers and customized software for operations, including patient registration, billing, and reporting, ensuring efficient and fast service. The new hi-tech center was inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Sushil Kumar Shinde-ji.
Within the next two and a half years, Nidan Ventures took a giant leap forward with the inauguration of its new branch, “Nidan Annexe.” This spacious, posh, and highly ambitious project by Shailendra Singh is one of the best diagnostic centers in Mumbai. Its beautiful interior design is complemented by a spacious garden, comfortable chairs, tables, and a canopy, making it a warm and pleasant place to visit. This center offers all diagnostic modalities under one roof.
The first of its kind, an OPEN MRI machine, was introduced for patients with a phobia of closed spaces (claustrophobia).
A dual-source machine from Siemens was installed, providing the fastest and most accurate information about heart blood circulation and coronary blockages. This was the first cardiac CT machine in a private setup across Mumbai.
It is the largest diagnostic center in Mumbai, spread over more than 10,000 sq. ft. in Lokhandwala.
The Pet-CT and Spect machines are housed in a well-designed 3,000 sq. ft. area, aesthetically built and equipped with the latest brand-new WIPRO GE machines. The paramedical staff includes skilled nuclear medicine specialists, CT technologists, and experienced nurses.
For the first time in the central suburbs, the latest Wipro GE – E10 State-of-the-Art Ultrasound Machine with an Electronic Volume Probe was introduced.
